Steve and Hillary McSpadden have helped over 1,000 families realize their dreams in the mountains since teaming up over 16 years ago. The majority of their business has been repeat and customer referral and the McSpaddens credit this to responsive service and sharing their infectious passion for the Vail lifestyle.
Steve has resided in the Vail Valley for over 40 years. Launching his real estate career in 1980, Steve operated a successful real estate and property management company. Hillary has contributed to the wide success of two real estate companies as Managing Broker, growing one of those from $10 million per year in sales, to over $100 million. Their combined experience and business savvy creates a dynamic partnership, offering a range of services that can only be achieved with their team approach. Steve’s long-standing relationships, and abundant knowledge of the Vail Valley and its history make him a tremendous resource to his clients. Hillary’s negotiating skills and detailed expertise in Contracts are one of the many ways Hillary’s abilities balance Steve’s.
As the principle listing brokers on the Landmark Residences, a luxury development in Lionshead Village, the McSpaddens successfully marketed and sold over $30 million of discretionary real estate during the toughest economic period in Vail’s history. Above all else, the McSpaddens have been resilient and creative in their effort to preserve values at this prominent slope-side location.
Steve ski raced at the University of Colorado, and Hillary, also a collegiate athlete, played Division I tennis for the University of San Diego. Hillary graduated in International Business and later earned an MBA from the University of Denver. Hailing from southern California, Hillary moved to the Vail area in 1991.
In addition to performing at the highest level in real estate sales, the McSpadden Team is backed by the success and marketing reach of Slifer Smith and Frampton Real Estate, the largest producing real estate company in the Vail Valley.
